Welcome to our new website. The Medical Mediation Foundation has extended the range of its mediation and training services.
Building on our experience of mediating disagreements over the medical treatment of children and young people and our highly acclaimed training for health professionals in managing conflict between health professionals and families, MMF now also offers conflict management training in adult and social care, training in managing conflict with colleagues and in clinical teams, and mediation for adult patients and in Court of Protection cases.
We know from our research, and from our first-hand experience of working with patients, families and professionals, how upsetting and damaging conflicts over care, treatment and communication can be. We can help you learn the skills to understand, recognise and manage them with confidence.
Our team of expert trainers and mediators has many years of experience working on the front line of medical and social care. We also have expertise in medical law and ethics and in the growing field of compassionate communication.
We understand the complexities of your world and the lives of the patients and families you look after. Our training is designed to give you the skills and confidence to recognise and manage conflict and to communicate compassionately.
We offer bespoke one or two day training courses teaching mediation skills – delivered to your teams on site or as stand alone training days. For those wanting to develop their mediation skills in more depth, we offer an accredited seven day paediatric medical mediation training. Our conflict management framework programme provides an extended package of training to help you create a robust, conflict responsive culture.
